Impact report published: How our advice services have helped people – April to September 2020

We have published our impact report for the period April to September 2020, which shows how we have helped people though our advice services.

We have continued to provide services during the COVID-19 pandemic since we ceased seeing clients in person back in March 2020, to protect our clients, staff and volunteers, by changing to services being provided by phone and digital.

As you will see from the report, we have seen a shift in what people come to us for help and advice with, as most people asked us about Universal Credit and Welfare Benefits.  However, we also saw an increase of over 60% (against our normal levels) in employment related enquiries.

Also, take a look at this short video to hear what some of our people said when we asked them whether the “safety net” had failed their clients – view video here.
