Advocates do not

• Make decisions for you
• Give you legal advice
• Give you medical advice
• Help you apply for benefits and entitlements (though our Adviser colleagues can do this)
• Help to claim compensation
• Provide befriending
• Provide an emergency support service

If you need help we cannot provide, we will usually find someone who can provide the help you need.
