#Keep the Lifeline! Stop the cuts to Universal Credit

Citizens Advice Sheffield is asking everyone to support the national campaign to persuade the Government to Keep the Lifeline £20 uplift in Universal Credit and make it permanent.

As well as the devastating personal consequences to working age people and their families, who rely on Universal Credit to make ends meet, this will result in an estimated loss of £43m and will impact approximately 17,067 low paid workers in the city who rely on the Lifeline.

What can you do to support the campaign?

Make your views known. Contact your local representatives and MPs, contact details can be found here use your own social media accounts to raise public awareness, talk to your colleagues, trade unions, clients, friends and family, write letters to the local and national media and anything else you can think of.
