Record numbers of people are turning to us for help as the country faces its biggest cost-of-living crisis in decades. Every year we help over 20,000 people in Sheffield to tackle their problems with an ever increasing number facing multiple challenges as they struggle to make ends meet. From help claiming benefits to advice around housing, debt, immigration or employment our advisers take the time to understand people’s problems and give them the information and advice they need. And our advocates help people who might otherwise not have a voice to say what they want, secure their rights, represent their interests and obtain services they need.
As a local charity, we rely on support to provide free and independent advice and advocacy you can trust. We’re determined to help as many people as possible – your support can help us to do that.

Did you know every local Citizens Advice is a registered charity?
We rely on the support of people like you to help us make a difference for our clients. We do this by supporting our clients with the problems they face, while campaigning to improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.
By online giving:
via wonderful.org, there are no fees to pay, we receive 100% of your donation direct using ‘Open Banking‘ (you will need online banking already set up to do this)
By direct payment to our bank account:
you can set up a bank payment from your bank account – this can be a one-off or a regular monthly amount. Email us for our bank details if you’d like to set this up donate@citizensadvicesheffield.org.uk
Through Give as You Earn:
This is a Government scheme where your donation is taken each month from your wages / salary and is exempt from Tax, so you pay less but give more! Talk to your employer to see if they offer you the chance to do this.
You can also send a cheque payable to ‘Sheffield Citizens Advice & Law Centre Ltd’ to the address below
Did you know that if you use ‘Gift Aid’, this means charities and community amateur sports clubs (CASCs) can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It will not cost you any extra.
