Working with Sheffield City Region

Citizens Advice Sheffield will be working in partnership with Sheffield City Region on a new project called Building Better Opportunities.

Building Better Opportunities – Sheffield City Region (BBO SCR) is an integrated, person centred service for people with physical and mental health conditions, learning disabilities and complex needs.  It’s based on Individual Placement Support, a “place then train” approach that’s shown to be twice as effective as traditional approaches.

We are looking for a new chief executive

Our current chief executive is retiring, so we wish to appoint an experienced leader to lead the next phase of our development.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about tackling poverty and inequality.

Do you have what it takes to lead us into the next phase of our development?

If you are interested in finding out more, please refer to our employment opportunities page. Closing date: 5pm on Monday, 21 May 2018.

Our new partnership with the Learning Zone, Parson Cross

From 14 February 2018, Citizens Advice Sheffield will be offering a service from the library space at the Learning Zone, Parson Cross. This is a good opportunity to work more closely with the complementary services provided by the Library Service, Housing and SOAR, who run the building.

We have been able to do this by relocating the service that has been running from the other end of Wordsworth Avenue. This longstanding service was open every Tuesday but the new service has been changed to a Wednesday make use of the day the library is normally closed.
