Patrick’s first role on moving to Sheffield was as a community support worker for adults with learning disabilities in 2004, before taking on a management role for a supported living service. He was part of a project that developed person-centred accommodation options to replace the large long-stay learning disability hostels in the city, before moving into advocacy in 2014. As a person who is multiply neurodivergent he has lived experience of some of the challenges and inequalities faced by those who use our service
